VCC Focuses on Veteran-Owned Businesses

4/9/2014

Jacob Willis, VCC’s Small Business Lender located in our Northern Virginia office, recently spent time with a well-known VIP at the Veterans in Business Conference.

Willis had the chance to bring Senator Mark Warner up to speed on the progress at VCC after the senator provided the keynote address at the conference. Senator Warner was instrumental in the establishment of VCC when he served as Virginia’s Governor from 2002 through 2006.

The Veterans In Business Conference is hosted by the Community Business Partnership and provides education, networking, and business opportunities for Veteran and Service Disabled Veteran Small Business Owners (VOSBs and SDVOSBs). The day-long conference focuses on connecting business owners with contracting and subcontracting opportunities available with the Federal Government.

VCC recently introduced a product designed to assist government contractors in need of working capital.  Learn more about the Asset-Based Lending program here or contact Jacob Willis directly at 703-447-1994.
